B1 Error Code Troubleshooting and Solution
The B1 error code on a Goodman furnace indicates a compatibility issue between the blower motor and the control board, caused by mismatched software versions after replacement of the blower motor or the control board. If the control board has been replaced with the updated software, the older blower motor may no longer be compatible. Similarly, replacing the blower motor on the system with an old version of software on the control board will trigger B1 error. In case if repair needs to be done on equipment with older versions of software both the ECM blower motor and control board need to be replaced , in addition this repair might require additional software update .
